WeatherWise USA Applies for Database Calculation Method Patent
XStarSM Patent Application
Pittsburgh, PA, USA(January 2006) - WeatherWise USA, Inc.®, announces the filing of a US Patent
application for XStarSM, a database method that allows end users of computers to manage
large calculations. Using spreadsheet-like interfaces and formulas, computer users can structure a complicated calculation involving
databases. Once the user decides the calculation is correct, this calculation can be run on one database account. If the account
is correct, the user can publish this method and run it across numerous accounts or the entire database.
This technology is applicable for rate and billing calculations in utilities, and financial institutions.
